Saturday

I had my first encounter with an astrologer yesterday. She practices Jyotish, which is Vedic Astrology, originating from India. Ahead of my appointment, I provided her with my birth city, date and exact time. My appointment was at 1:30. I found my way to the nondescript, slightly suspect office with a sign on the front door that said New Beginnings. I waited. And waited. I could hear a woman providing a service in the room next door to the waiting area. Finally, someone came by and asked if I needed assistance. I said I was waiting for C. She said, ok, she'll be right with you. And then I waited some more. Finally, I thought, hey, this is rude. Why am I doing this anyway? I decided to write her a note letting her know that I wouldn't wait any longer. As I reached for a pen in my bag, I noticed my phone vibrating. It was C. She was waiting for ME. I was in the wrong location. How weird that I somehow found myself in the wrong office, but with the same services and someone who presumably knew a C. How interesting that the sign said New Beginnings. I had been waiting for my own new beginning.

I finally located the real C and in the course of 90 minutes she shared a lifetime of information about my personality and being past, present and future. She touched on health, love, work, family, friends, children and creativity. Of course, most of it resonated. :)

Like a lot of other folks, I can't help but be reflective this time of year.

Yet another new creative adventure is set to begin next week. I'm going to be exploring a new craft. METAL. It'll be a bit of a commitment as I've enrolled as an actual undergraduate and it's 4 credits. Yikes. I may need to cut back on working. ;)
